ABOUT CHIEF TROXEL
Chief Tim Troxel has been in law enforcement for 30 years. During that time he has worked for two municipal police departments in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He spent the first 26 years of his career working full-time for the Upper Moreland Township Police Department, starting there in January of 1995. While there, Tim served his first 10 years as a patrol officer. He then earned assignment to the Criminal Investigation Division, where he served as a detective for 3 years. He was then promoted to the rank of sergeant, serving as a patrol supervisor for 5 years. Tim was then promoted to lieutenant, where he served as a member of the department's command staff for 7 years. During his time at Upper Moreland PD, Tim also served on the regional SWAT team for 23 years, starting as an entry team operator, then becoming a team leader before eventually becoming a team commander. He then had the opportunity to become the chief of police for the Towamencin Township Police Department, starting that position in January of 2021. Tim is also a veteran of the United States Army National Guard, serving honorably for 10 years as a combat medic.
Tim holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a master's degree in public safety management, both from Saint Joseph's University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and Northwestern's School of Police Staff and Command. Tim has also earned a certificate in municipal management from Penn State University, a post graduate certificate in law enforcement studies from the University of Virginia, and is a certified use of force analyst through the Force Science Institute. Additionally, he has been a police instructor for 27 years, teaching firearms, defensive tactics, tactical medicine, SWAT tactics, active shooter response, and police leadership and supervision. He has taught as an instructor for both the Temple University Criminal Justice Training Division and the Penn State Justice and Safety Institute, as well as guest lecturing at several universities and presenting at state and national law enforcement conferences, including the PA Chief's Association (PACP), PA School Resource Officer's Association (PASRO), International Association of Chief's of Police (IACP), International Law Enforcement Educator's and Trainer's Association (ILEETA), National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), and the Texas A&M Active Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) conferences.

Chief Troxel is passionate about law enforcement leadership and the profession itself. He is a true believer in the tenet that you should never stop learning, regardless of your rank or assignment. Tim is dedicated to constantly working on improvement, both with himself and his agency. Through T2 PMC, he is also prepared to do the same for you and your organization. Because our goal here at T2 PMC is the same as yours: to make your organization, and therefore the law enforcement profession, better. We do this by helping your agency to improve, develop, maintain, and excel in everything it does.
